Conceived by the Parents’ and Alumnae Associates as a benefit to support Annual Giving, Marlborough School’s Merry Mart began in 1977 with nearly 500 volunteers baking, cooking, creating, and working to sell candles, decorations, fruitcake, and cookies to the Marlborough community.
By the late 1990s, first as Holiday Fest and then in 2002 as Winter Fest, the holiday celebration was no longer used as a fundraiser but as an opportunity for students and employees to celebrate the end of the semester with games, food, a raggle, and more.
This year’s activities included photo booths, henna tattoos, handwriting analysis, inflatables, and - for the first time - a puppy petting zoo!
Thank you to all the volunteers who brought the community together for this memorable day before the winter break.
