Shari & Ed Glazer Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Opens

Newly improved space will serve as the academic and collaborative hub of the campus

As students arrived for the first day of the 2018-2019 school year, an extra special level of excitement was in the air. Today, Marlborough would be unveiling the school's new Shari and Ed Glazer Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), a summer-long construction project that renovation the former Academic Resource Center.

Weaving together engineering, digital arts, robotics, media, academic research, and entrepreneurship, the CEI will bring the Marlborough school community together and serve as an idea incubator, where students and faculty from across multiple disciplines can discover and learn in a space designed to enhance collaboration and experiential learning.

The newly improved space will serve as the academic and collaborative hub of the campus, providing the school community with opportunities to learn, socialize, and grow in ways that will position all students for success beyond the scope of a traditional Marlborough education.

After the opening assembly, which included remarks from the All-School Council members and Dr. Sands, students were free to enter the previously closed space, and within minutes, the girls had settled into every sofa, table, workspace, lounge area, and collaboration pod, just as it was designed for them to do.
