Marlborough's Girls Go Global club hosted an All School Meeting (ASM) Q&A and smaller student brunch with Mindy Kaling on Monday, September 25.

Kaling is best know for starring, writing and executive producing The Mindy Project, a Hulu Original sitcom currently airing it's final season. You may also recognize Kaling for her work on the NBC sitcom The Office, where she wrote and directed several episodes while also portraying the character Kelly Kapoor. Kaling's film career includes The 40 Year Old Virgin, Pixar's Inside Out, and the upcoming Ocean's 8.

Kalling's two memoirs, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) and Why Not Me?, both made The New York Times' best-seller list. She was named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in 2012 and one of Glamour's Women of the Year in 2014.

During the ASM, the Girls Go Global club president Rami P. '19 mediated a Q&A where Kaling answered student questions ranging from questions about her career path and the shifting of content platforms to her development of confidence and leadership. After the ASM, Kaling and Rami continued the conversation over lunch with a smaller group of students.
