Leadership Visions
Each Council member brings a unique perspective and innovative ideas to their role. Based on their speeches, here is a glimpse of what they envision for the Marlborough community:

Rainey, our incoming All-School President, emphasized her dedication to a student-centric term: “The most important thing of a presidency is YOU and YOUR ideas. You deserve a president who will listen to you and do anything to get your point across.” Rainey’s plans include creating more community-building opportunities, featuring programming that encourages students from different grade levels to bond and get to know one another.

Lorelei brings proven experience to her role as All-School Environmental Representative. “When I was elected as Environmental Representative in 10th Grade, I made it my mission to minimize plastic utensil waste on campus,” she stated. She helped spearhead “Fork Week” this year, a week in which Café M eliminated all plastic utensils and students were encouraged to bring reusable alternatives from home.

As Communications Representative, Ruby promises to revitalize school communications with her enthusiasm for connection. “As your Communications Rep, I vow to usher in a renaissance of the original form of social media—email!” she quipped. Her plans include incorporating the Café M menu in weekly emails and creating a streamlined announcement submission process.

Meredith, incoming Wellbeing Representative, brings personal experience and compassion to the role. “While there isn’t some magic button I can press that will make all your worries disappear, I will help combat student stress levels,” she promised. Her initiatives center on stress-relieving activities in community with other students.

Mila expressed her long-standing dedication to Marlborough community events as the ultimate qualification to be the 2025-2026 Assembly Coordinator: “I am a huge fan of Marlborough, I just love that sense of community and warmth I get when singing the alma mater here together.” Some of her ideas include more effectively showcasing Marlborough’s affinity groups during All-School Meetings and further ensuring all guest speakers feel welcome and prepared to speak to the community.

Incoming Community Partnerships Representative Maddie focused on the importance of meaningful service opportunities: “Instead of making service something we check off a list, we have the freedom to pursue meaningful opportunities that align with our passions.” She plans to create an accessible list of service options, expand engagement with clubs, and celebrate student contributions in weekly features.

Bringing her passion for sports and genuine team spirit to the role, Addie is the incoming Athletics Representative. “Beyond the basics of sports, my favorite part [of participating in athletics] has to be the close bond and lifelong friendships created between teammates. I want to replicate this one-of-a-kind bond with our whole school,” she shared. Her goals include friendly athletic competitions between grades, faculty vs. student games, and an enhanced social media presence for Marlborough athletics.

Sylvia, the incoming Arts Representative, aims to raise the profile of visual and performing arts on campus. “I want to create [opportunities for] visual artists to create poster designs for the musical, choir, or dance concerts,” she explained. She also plans to boost communication for the arts, including making recommendations for movies, shows, and local art exhibitions.

In an impassioned speech to her Middle School peers, Kensi made the case to be elected as the Middle School Representative. She brings energy and advocacy to her role representing our youngest community members amongst the Senior-led All-School Council. “I want to make sure your ideas are heard,” she promised. Her ideas include organizing Middle School-specific activities and making herself available to her peers to hear their feedback.

Looking Towards Next Year
With this enthusiastic Council in place, the 2025-2026 year promises to be one of innovation, inclusion, and community building. These student leaders bring not only fresh ideas but also deep affection for Marlborough and a genuine dedication to enhancing the Marlborough experiences for every student.

“We have so many opportunities at Marlborough,” Maddie gushed, and with this dynamic group at the helm, next year is bound to be one to remember.
