Hazel B. '18 selected to participate in 2017 Yale Young Scholars-Beijing Program

Hazel will join a global network of the world's most talented young leaders, helping to build stronger links between China and a rapidly changing world.

Hazel B. '18 has been selected to participate in the 2017 Yale Young Global Scholars-Beijing Program, an immersive nine-day pre-collegiate experience designed to cultivate the next generation of Chinese leaders and China scholars, at the Yale Center Beijing in Beijing's Chaoyang District.

Eighty students from over 60 different countries were chosen to participated in the program out of over 600 applicants. These students will learn from faculty, practitioners, Yale students, and alumni in the fields of history, economics, public health, innovation, entrepreneurship, international affairs, and applied science.

Hazel and her peer scholars will be paired with a year-long Yale University mentor and join a global network of young leaders helping to build stronger links between China and the world.
