"Felicitations" to our French Poetry Reciters!

Marlborough Students Place Across the Board at Fourth Annual French Poetry Recitation Contest

Six Marlborough students attended the Fourth Annual French Poetry Recitation Contest at Cal State LA this past weekend. Each one prepared a classical French poem, memorized it, added their own flavor and unique delivery, and recited poems ranging from the Romantic Victor Hugo to one of the forefathers of Surrealism, Guillaume Apollinaire. They competed in a category appropriate to their level of French against high-school French students from across Los Angeles and received the following honors:
Honorable Mentions for French II: Clara E. '18, Imogene W. '20, and Alexis K. '19 3rd Place for French II: Kate O. '20 2nd Place for AP French: Lucy G. '17 1st Place for French II: Valeria M. '17
