Community, Camaraderie, and Choreography!

Marlborough's Annual Spirit Week is a community-wide favorite, and the 2018 festivities lived up to the hype. Similar to years past, each day of the week students came dressed in theme-specific clothing to earn points for their grade:
Monday = Favorite Character
Tuesday = Team Tuesday
Wednesday = Pajama Day
Thursday = Throwback Thursday
Friday = Class Colors
In addition to students coming dressed in their class colors on Friday, we closed out the week's events with the highly anticipated Spirit Week dance competition, for which each class choreographed and performed a dance routine. This year, the faculty and staff also joined in on the dancing fun, performing a surprise dance that had every student on their feet with shock and enthusiasm.
Beyond just the fun, Spirit Week also serves as an opportunity to support the greater community, and this year we collected donations for five very worthwhile organizations each day:
3,718 Children's books for Access Books
2,080 socks for 1736 Family Crisis Center
1,033 deodorants for School on Wheels
33,846 feminine hygiene products for Children of the Night
At the end of the week, the Seniors were crowned this year's Spirit Week champions, with the 8th grade winning the dance competition. For more photos and videos from the week's events, be sure to follow us on Instagram at @marlboroughlife.
