Celebrating our Graduates

On May 28 of this year, the Class of 2020 returned to the Marlborough campus for a graduation celebration like no other in the school's more than 130-year history.

Cars began pulling up to the Third Street gate at noon, and for the next three hours, students were greeted, cheered on, clapped for, and honored by their faculty and staff as they made their way around the parking lot, past the Alumnae Garden, and up to the front bricks - stopping briefly for each student to receive her diploma, snap a photo, and pick up her Grad Night party box full of fun for later that evening.

"While this was not the graduation ceremony we anticipated, the car parade was truly a fun-filled, heartfelt, and touching tribute to the 89 talented, dynamic young women who have learned and laughed together over their years at school," said Dr. Priscilla Sands, Head of School. "I look forward to a time when we can all be together again in person, when they can hug each other and shake my hand and reflect on their time at Marlborough. Until then, I will keep the memories of this day - the bubbles, the cowbells, and the smiling faces of our families - in my heart."
