This month, students enrolled in Honors African American Literature are celebrating Black History Month with a video series entitled "A Portrait of a People."

Celebrating Black History Month with "Portraits of a People"

This month, students enrolled in Honors African American Literature are celebrating the rich heritage and plentiful contributions made to society by African Americans with a video series entitled "A Portrait of a People":

We have so much to be thankful for and the word, "thankful" is magnified and given special emphasis as we contemplate all that has happened over the past couple of years. Let us be thankful, too, for contributions great and small. Students enrolled in Honors African American Literature will, again this year, present "Portraits of a People." All but one selection is currently living and each continues to contribute to the African American Community and society as a whole. 

This year's theme is "Living Legends." Each student in class selected a living legend and created a short video highlighting their life. One presentation will air each weekday morning throughout February.
