Avery K. '15 Completes Summer Medical Scholars Program

Cedars-Sinai's Osborne Head and Neck Institutes's five-week program offers an intensive introduction into the world of clinical medicine and education.

Avery K. '15 has successfully completed the 2014 Summer Medical Scholars Program at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute.

The Summer Medical Scholars Program is an intensive introduction into the world of clinical medicine and education. Over the five-week course students gained first-hand experience in clinical care by shadowing physicians as well as observing surgical procedures. Participants observed several of the challenges and dynamic problem-solving modalities that are inherent to a busy surgical center. In addition, they participated in various teaching sessions, submitted publications, and completed clinical skills workshops, which prepared Avery for her first years of clinical education, should she continue to pursue a career in the medical field.

Congratulations, Avery!
