Vibrant and Ambitious: 2025 Winter Art Show

Marlborough’s Seaver Gallery bursts with color and creativity as the Winter Art Show fills every available space with impressive and thoughtful student artwork from the first semester.

The Winter Art Show spotlights the work from students across all grade levels, featuring  a variety of disciplines, mediums, and themes. The Visual Arts program offers students the opportunity to explore and create, with the exhibition showcasing sculptures, digital design, mixed-media pieces, and paintings. Each is accompanied by an artist statement that illuminates the thoughtful curiosity of Marlborough artists.

Visual Arts Department Head Chelsea Dean says of the show: “The Winter Art Show is always a highlight of the year, but this semester our students have pushed even further—working across mediums, experimenting fearlessly, and building installations that feel unmistakably contemporary. What excites me most is seeing young artists create culture in real time: blending photography, painting, and drawing with installation, translating poetic writing into images, pairing internet research with tactile analogue materials, and imagining artworks that extend way beyond the frame. The show is vibrant, ambitious, and deeply reflective of the way 21st-century artists work.”

This exhibition celebrates the boundary-pushing creativity that defines Marlborough’s Visual Arts program. Congratulations to each of the artists involved and the Visual Arts faculty who guide them!
