Winter 2025-2026 Athletics Recap

111 Marlborough Mustangs celebrated an exceptional winter athletics season defined by hard-earned wins and exciting accomplishments. Across Middle and Upper School, student-athletes competed in basketball, soccer, and water polo, showcasing dedication, determination, and teamwork.

Basketball Highlights:
Varsity Basketball finished a competitive season with an overall record of 18-12. Going 7-3 in Mission League play, the team secured 2nd Place in the League. Amirah M. ’26 achieved a personal record, surpassing 1000 career points during her Senior Night game. Excitingly, four players were honored by the Mission League: Leila B. ’26 and Taylor B. ’26 achieved 1st Team All-League honors and Lara D. ’29 and Amira M. ’26 were awarded 2nd Team All-League honors.

7/8 Purple Basketball celebrated a rewarding season marked by teamwork, growth, and exciting moments. Finishing the season 4-3, these 7th and 8th graders had exciting wins against Brentwood School, Paul Revere Middle School, and Heritage Christian School. Their positive attitudes and efforts were recognized with the Junior High Delphic League Sportsmanship Award, voted on by the League.

7/8 White Basketball had a season filled with enthusiasm and a dedicated growth mindset. With an exciting win against Chaminade College Preparatory as a highlight of their season, the team was also awarded the Junior High Delphic League Sportsmanship Award.

Soccer Highlights:
Varsity Soccer competed hard this season, working through injuries and adversity while displaying excellence and determination in every match. This competitive spirit earned them a record of 5-7-5, reflecting seven games where they battled from behind to end in a tie. Ria D. ’26 and Gabi G. ’27 were honored by the Mission League and received 1st Team and 2nd Team honors, respectively.

JV Soccer celebrated a rewarding season marked by hard work, competitive spirit, and fun. Some highlights from their season included exciting wins against Windward School and Immaculate Heart High School, earning a final record of 4-4-3.

7/8 Soccer focused on learning, fun, and competition this season. Some highlights included a great win against Chaminade College Preparatory and a particularly hard-fought tie against Village Christian School. The team was also proud to be awarded the Junior High Delphic League Sportsmanship Award.

Water Polo Highlights:
Varsity Water Polo had a truly historic season, winning the Mission League title for the first time in School history. The team was defined by grit, tenacity, and a deep bond. After winning the League, they advanced to compete in the first round of CIF Division-1 Playoffs. The Mustangs were also heavily decorated by the Mission League: Emily N. ’27 was named League MVP and Bridget M. ’27 named MVP Goalie. In addition, Rhiannon K. ’26, Sasha K. ’27, Cara Y. ’28, and Olivia Y. ’28 all achieved 1st Team All-League honors, and Juliette S. ’28, Sonia H-S. ’26, and Tessa H-S. ’29 earned 2nd Team All-League honors.
