Digital Art & Design
Where Creativity Meets Technology
Marlborough’s Digital Art & Design program invites students to explore the creative possibilities of digital media through a wide range of tools, techniques, and concepts. From digital painting and collage to animation and motion design, students gain hands-on experience using professional programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and more.
Build Skills. Expand Ideas.
This four-course sequence guides students from foundational skills in visual composition and media literacy to more advanced explorations in time-based media, sound, and 3D design. As they progress, students learn to communicate ideas and moods through thoughtful integration of image, text, movement, and interactivity—developing both their creative voice and visual problem-solving skills.
Design Your Own Path
The final course in the sequence invites students to take the lead on an independent, semester-long project in a digital medium of their choice—ranging from an animation series to a digital campaign, product line, or immersive installation. Students plan, produce, and exhibit their work, culminating in a final showcase that highlights their creative growth and technical mastery.
