Privacy of Children
Marlborough complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). COPPA forbids website operators, in most circumstances, from knowingly collecting personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without first obtaining verifiable parental consent. On its website, Marlborough will collect and use personally identifiable information from a child under the age of thirteen only if the School has first received verifiable consent from the child’s parent or legal guardian, as COPPA requires.
Certain features and benefits on our website may collect or use your Personally Identifiable Information (as defined in this section and in the section below entitled “What Information We Collect”). For example, your e-mail address should be kept current because that is one of the primary manners in which we communicate with you.
What You Consent to by Using Our Website
What Information We Collect
Persistent Identifiers. When users come to our website, we may track, collect, and aggregate information, called “Persistent Identifiers,” indicating, among other things, which pages of our website were visited, the order in which they were visited, which hyperlinks were “clicked,” and similar information. Collecting such information may involve, for example, logging the IP address, operating system, and browser software used by each user of the website. The information that we may be able to determine from an IP address includes a user’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity.
Updates. Marlborough may offer you the ability to receive updates via either e-mail or another subscription service such as Facebook or Twitter. In order to subscribe to these services, you may be required to provide us with personal information such as your name, e-mail address, and zip code.
Registration/Creating a Profile. In order to register your account with the website and create a profile on the website, Marlborough will use some of your personal information.
Third Parties. Marlborough may provide your personal information to third parties in connection with third party plugins incorporated into the website.

Other Third Parties. For your convenience we may provide you with embedded third party plugins and applications in the website that are operated by companies other than Marlborough (“Third Party Sites”) that we believe are important (such as Finalsite, Google Analytics, and Stetler) or that we believe may be of interest to you. Our doing so may entail our using or sharing your Personally Identifiable Information.
We take reasonable steps to release Personally Identifiable Information only to the Third Party Sites that are capable of maintaining the confidentiality, security, and integrity of such information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these Third Party Sites, however, and do not control those sites. Confidentiality & Security of Personally Identifiable Information
Updating or Deleting Your Personally Identifiable Information
You may change, update, delete, or add to your profile information at any time through the website. You may also e-mail us using the contact information in the “Contact Marlborough” section below, and we can help you with changing or deleting your profile.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and are concerned about the disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information about your daughter under the age of 13 that we may obtain via the website, use on the website, or provide to Third Party Sites, you may review your daughter’s Personally Identifiable Information. If you wish to have information deleted or to decline to allow any further collection or use of the information., you may discuss those issues with us by contacting Marlborough using the contact information in the “Contact Marlborough” section below. Marlborough might not be able to take those actions itself on your behalf.

California Privacy Rights
Under California law, California residents can request the following in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship: (a) a list of the categories of Personally Identifiable Information, and the type of services provided to the customer, that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes and (b) the names and addresses of the third parties. To make such a request from Marlborough, if you are entitled under law to do so, please use the contact information listed below. We will respond to all properly addressed written requests. Please note that we are required to respond to each customer only once per calendar year.
