As an educator, Torson believes in the value of debate as a tool that teaches students thoughtfulness. “Debate forces them to honestly examine their most deeply held beliefs, scan the world for the deceptions of ideology and sophistry, and reject the false security of consensus. It forces them to see complexity, nuance, and shades of grey. It inculcates a sense of intellectual integrity.”

Join us Thursday, September 10 between 3:00 and 5:00 for a reception featuring the work of six women artists working in ceramics and glass. The show will be on display Aug. 31-Oct. 2., between 8:00 and 4:30 during the week and between 9:00 and 2:00 on Saturdays.
On June 22, five houses were razed as part of the Arden Project, Marlborough School's campus expansion that was envisioned 50 years ago.
