7-8 GRADE APPLICANTS

Application

The deadline to complete an application for the 2017-2018 academic year has passed. If you have already submitted your initial application, the remaining materials are due by January 20, 2017 and can be accessed in the "Transcripts and Testing" and "Recommendations" sections below.

Schedule a Group Activity Session

All 7-8 grade applicants are required to participate in a group activity session. Once we receive your daughter’s application, we will send you an email to schedule this appointment. Group activity sessions are for the student only and will include activities led by Marlborough faculty.

Transcripts and Testing

What is required?
The ISEE is required for all applicants applying to grades 7 & 8. Marlborough School also requires applicants to submit first semester/trimester transcripts for the current school year as well as complete transcripts and testing from the previous school year. (For example, a student applying to Marlborough for 7th grade would need to submit all of her grades and test scores from 5th grade, and at least the first term report card from 6th grade.)

TRANSCRIPTS

How do I submit transcripts to Marlborough School?
The CSSAD Transcript Release form below should be filled out and submitted to the applicant’s school. The deadline for submitting all transcripts and test scores is on or before Friday, January 20, 2017.

CSSAD Transcript Release Form

Marlborough welcomes and encourages the electronic submission of transcripts and test scores via email. All documents must be sent by an administrator at the applicant’s current or former school from a school email address for confirmation purposes. Documents submitted from a personal email account will not be accepted. All documents should be emailed to admissions@marlborough.org.

Schools may also submit hard copies to:

Can I submit additional transcripts and test scores from earlier years?

Additional transcripts and test scores are not required, but may be submitted if you feel they strengthen the application. Applicants who choose not to submit additional scores will not be penalized in any way.

ISEE

How do I register for the ISEE?

In order to register for the ISEE test, visit www.iseetest.org. ISEE testing sites fill up quickly, so please sign up as soon as possible. ISEE registration for students applying for the 2017-2018 school year is available now through the ISEE website.

Please remember to list Marlborough School as a score recipient - our school code is 051710.

If you have any trouble registering for the ISEE, please contact the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) at (800) 446-0320.

The deadline for taking the ISEE is on or before January 20, 2017.

Recommendations

All recommendation forms, required and optional, must be received by the Marlborough School Admissions Office on or before Friday, January 20, 2017. Like transcripts, Marlborough encourages all recommendations to be submitted electronically by email to admissions@marlborough.org.

Financial Aid

Applicants who are applying for financial aid are required to complete and submit financial aid forms and documents. Information on Marlborough School’s Financial Aid Program and links to the forms can be found here. Schedule a Visit

All 9-10 grade applicants are required to schedule an on campus interview and tour. Once we receive your daughter’s application, we will send you an email to schedule this appointment.

Interviews take place on weekdays and include a student-led tour of campus and an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee for both you and your daughter. The entire visit lasts approximately 90 minutes, during which we’ll have the opportunity to exchange information about your daughter’s interests, goals, and experiences. Interviews will begin in October 2016 and families must schedule an interview by January 13, 2017.

Testing and Transcripts

What is required?

Marlborough school requires 9-10 grade applicants to submit either ISEE test scores or PSAT scores. Marlborough School also requires applicants to submit first semester/trimester transcripts for the current school year as well as complete transcripts and testing from the previous school year.
